Melanomas can vary widely in appearance. Some are dark and unevenly colored, while others may appear pink, red, or lightly pigmented. These examples show different ways melanomas may look.

Eligibility
You May Qualify If You:
Are age 40 or older
Have a mole or skin spot your clinician is concerned
aboutAre willing to have your lesion evaluated using the DermaSensor device
Can participate in follow-up visits as needed
You May Not Qualify If:
The lesion is clearly benign and not concerning to the study doctor
The lesion is located in an area inaccessible to the device
The lesion is smaller than 2 mm or larger than 15 mm
You are unable to travel to a participating study site
The study site will review the full eligibility criteria and answer any questions during the informed consent process.

What the Study Involves:
If you qualify and choose to participate:
The study staff will review the study and obtain your consent
Your concerning skin lesion will be evaluated using the DermaSensor device
The study doctor will decide whether a biopsy is needed or not
